COMMERCIAL MANAGEMENT

 

Battal Marine is specialized commercial manager/operator in short sea, deep sea, and river-sea shipping market. We focus on cargoes primarily within the full Atlantic basin including the Mediterranean, Black Sea and Baltic as well as Arabic gulf and Asia-Pacific.

Battal Marine can manage all commercial activities of vessels under management. Our market experience and knowledge in different type of vessel segments, our excellent relations with charterers and shipbrokers, coupled with extensive charter party negotiations, enables us to maximize vessel’s earning potential.

With the optimal composition of the fleet, Battal Marine can always select the right ship for every load and route. This means that Battal Marine provides the optimum income for both the stakeholders of the cargo and the ships.

Shortsea tanker and dry cargo market

Our modern fleet serves the industry with flexible solutions for carrying out large and long-term contracts.

River-sea shipping

Battal Marine serves the river-sea shipping segment. Our shallow draft ships and barges can navigate inland waters of Europe.

Deep sea liquid and dry bulk market

TECHNICAL MANAGEMENT

 

Battal Marine Ship Management A.S. is handling day-to-day management of group vessels and providing full range of ship management services to its principles include technical management, crew management, risk management & systems, vessel accounting and procurement services for all sizes of dry cargo ships, tankers, lpg carriers, multi-purpose and offshore support vessels. Our experiences and strengths in ship management are enhanced by this long tradition of operating a global fleet of commercial vessels.

Battal Marine defines nautical ship management as:

  • shore support available to support the entire Battal Marine fleet for all nautical-technical challenges, incidents or emergencies

FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT

 

Shipowners within the shortsea and deep sea shipping market are forced by nature to optimize cost control and have a strict budget control. In addition to the reporting on the income of the ships, Battal Marine provides the complete Ship Financial Reporting. This means that budget and realized financials are produced on ship level and projected to balance sheet items, liquidity statements and liquidity forecasts. Cost overruns are immediately identified and analyzed.

Battal Marine has representative comparative figures over a series of years, so that incidental deviations can be distinguished from structural deviations.

Battal Marine’s financial department provides the following services:

  • the complete financial administration of the company in which the ship is operated
  • supervising audits
  • taking care of VAT returns
  • monitoring (insurance) claims. This includes, among other things, applying for advanced payments and drawing up the final claim account
  • the complete payroll administration, including payments and taking care of the statutory deductions and payments
  • supplying the required data for tax returns
